In early 2013, my wife and I met Brad when we decided to work with him on building our first home together. Brad was extremely helpful from day one when we called to inquire about some property that was for sale. He gave us plenty of information about pricing of the land and different housing options for that specific piece of property. Brad was above and beyond anything that we could have asked for in a builder. He got to know us at a personal level not just for business purposes. He listened and provided feedback on all of our thoughts and plans, leading us to get every thing that we wanted on our wish list. Whether it was something as small as helping with paint colors or as big as completely changing the plans of the layout, Brad was extremely willing and patient.

Throughout the build we had many ideas and questions that usually would come to us in the middle of the night or on a weekend, needless to say, we sent Brad hundreds of text messages about the most minute details. Day, night, weekends Brad was very prompt to get back with us, answering all of our questions.

Many people say building a house is the most stressful thing you and your significant other can do together, we can honestly say that Brad proved that to be wrong. Our house looks great and the quality of the fit and finish is excellent. Working with Brad was a great experience.Reading other testimonials I agree with the reasons why Brad is a great builder. We exchanged hundreds of emails and made hundreds of phone calls on the smallest of details for the house. He always responded within a few hours and most of the time within minutes. We contacted other builders before Brad, but they did not seem interested or took too long to reply back to emails and phone calls. I communicated with over 10 different builders before Brad, and none of them were even close to Brad’s high level of responsiveness. He also has the best attitude. Even when we would talk about a small detail, like how big an interior niche opening should be, he always had a helpful, friendly, and patient manner. He showed enthusiasm and cared about the changes we wanted to make. When we built our house five years ago, we thought we were done with construction, but we recently decided to add a bedroom and bathroom in the unfinished section of our basement. Our top priority was that the rooms look like the rest of the house, not after-thoughts. Brad was the project manager when building our house, and we had a wonderful experience working with him then (he calmed us down on many occasions). So naturally, we contacted Brad to do the remodel work, and we’re glad we did. These are the things we can say about Brad:

Honest – Brad gave us a fair construction bid and that budget was not exceeded. There were no “surprises” during construction.

Communication – Whenever we had any questions (and during construction there are always questions), Brad was available by phone, email or text. He responded to our messages the same day – and sometimes even within the hour!

Dependable – Brad kept us in the loop on when things would be happening, whether it was a delivery, jobs involving contractors (electrician, plumber, drywall guys, painters) and eventually the inspections (which we passed in flying colors). Speaking of Brad’s contractors – all were professional and did a great job.

Thoughtful – Being that we were adding rooms to our existing house, we were concerned that we would wind up with damaged floors/walls due to the nature of construction. Brad made sure that the work site was clean and he actually was able to have his guys go in and out through the basement daylight window (not a walkout), which we didn’t think could be done. By doing this, even though we’re sure it was a bit more of a hassle for Brad’s team, our main floor wasn’t impacted at all.

Knowledgeable – We told Brad what we wanted and he came up with the plan. He worked with us at every phase of the project and correctly ordered everything we requested from doors, hardware, plumbing fixtures and flooring.

We would recommend Berchiatti Homes if you have a whole house build in mind. If your goal is remodeling a basement, adding additional rooms – any remodeling job, you can count on Brad to do a professional job. We are very happy with his work!
